It feels incredibly lightweight but does a fantastic job of smoothing everything out. My makeup lasted so much longer without pilling or separating, which is a huge win. The blurring effect is real but still looks natural.

The Downside: If you have dry skin, this might be a little too mattifying for you.

 

 

ICONIC LONDON Velvet Smooth Pore Refining Primer

This primer is $30 and a fantastic option for anyone dealing with textured skin. The matte, velvet finish is no joke. It blurs pores and texture almost instantly, making foundation apply so much more smoothly.

I found it works especially well on oily areas. Sometimes I don’t even use it all over my face, I just spot-apply it to my T-zone for extra oil control and blurring right where I need it.

It does a great job of blurring pores and gripping makeup for long-lasting wear. It also feels surprisingly hydrating, making it a great budget face primer for almost any skin type.

The Downside: It can feel a little tacky for a minute or two before it sets down.

 

 

NYX Professional Makeup Blur Screen SPF 30 Blurring Primer

I love a multi-tasking product, and this one from NYX is just $14. It blurs pores and fine lines while also giving you SPF 30 sun protection. It’s perfect for everyday wear.

It creates a breathable, soft-focus base that smooths the skin without feeling heavy. Combining my primer and SPF step is a huge time-saver in the morning.

The Downside: Like some SPF products, it can leave a slight white cast if you don’t rub it in completely.
